🌶️ R A W I T 🌶️ here is the coda situation of a piece i wrote for @thedanishradiobigband back in 2019, this time performed with our hometown big band, the @mosajazzcollective at @wmc_kerkrade ‘s festival @blowbywmc yesterday. i named this tune after a chili pepper called “rawit” and tried to musically picture the feeling in your body after eating this piece of food. and when i say “after,” i’m not talking about the day after… i don’t know if it’s interesting, but to help the musicians build the tune down and then back up to bring this coda to an absolute climax, i thought it would be helpful to write some notes in the sheet music like “cool down”, “stay cool”, “spice it up”, “build!” and finally “swing it out!” … i don’t know if it helped, but the guys made it sound… if you like the piece, please know we’ll play it again at our “thursday night big band session” at the @muziekgieterij.nl on the 11th of september 2025 after the break, so probably around 21h37. this time we’ll feature organ hero and buddy from the @vitzkids , @simonoslender . feel free to drop by! maybe it’s a good idea to add an extra dimension to the music, organise 374 rawit chilies for everyone who bought tickets already, and all together eat the peppers right before we perform this piece again… we’ll see… thanks again, chatgpt for polishing this caption, even though no one will read past the first emoji… #bigband #jazzbigband #bigbandmusic #bigbandlife #danishradiobigband #mosajazzcollective #jazzmusician #livemusic #musiciansofinstagram #musicperformance #bandlife #jazzcommunity #rawit #spicyjazz #chilipeppermusic #hotnotes #spicytunes #musiccommunity #instagram #andeverything

🎺 back to work 💨 here’s a short but probably still boring sped-up situation of yesterday’s warm-up before my first day at work after almost 10 weeks ; i tried out some new things over the last couple of weeks and ended up with a new 20m warm-up routine that includes some breathing exercises to activate the system and help loosen the lower back, some leadpipe blowing to get the lips ready to vibrate, and a long tone situation including some false fingering, bends and air pushes, this because it sounds so beautiful… for most people this is not interesting at all… i totally understand… here are 2 options ; 1 ) if you think this is not interesting, please know you can now book me as a trumpet player again after the 10 week break i’ve had. i can come to your place and play something that you think is interesting, let’s discuss it… 2 ) if you think this is interesting, check out the link in my bio. i collected the exercises and my thoughts about it in a pdf. feel free to try them and let me know your thoughts please! @imkeheitzer do you think i’m on the right track to fulfill my influencing dream this way? influencer career ; pending trumpet chops ; slowly returning stay tuned for information on both… 🤣😉 and again thanks chatgpt for helping me with this caption! #trumpetlife #trumpetplayer #trumpetpractice #brasslife #brassmusician #trumpetlove #trumpetwarmup #dailypractice #musicianslife #practiceinprogress #warmuproutine #musicpractice #notaninstagraminfluencer #practiceoverperfection #musiciansofinstagram #musiccommunity #instagram #andeverything

🧘🏻☀️🌳 here’s a short time-lapse situation of this week’s morning routine by the beautiful tuscan sunrise ; 30m of mobility exercises to work on the herniated disc in my lower back combined with some breathing and @warburtonusa P.E.T.E. exercises to get the system ready for some trumpet playing for when i’m allowed to play again after the inguinal hernia surgery a few weeks ago. little update on life ; against my will and nature i had to start cancelling some gigs around the end of may since playing started to hurt more and more since february-ish, this because of a herniated disc in my lower back (l4/l5) and an inguinal hernia which is now fixed. now after 7 weeks of no playing and no running i can’t wait to start playing again and i hope some more exercises and rest will do the trick to cure the back and get me back in the running game soon too! also, my girlfriend @imkeheitzer86 thinks it’d be fun for all of my followers to see how i get my trumpet chops back and says it’s a great chance to fulfill my dream of becoming an influencer, so maybe i’ll share some practice clips of me sounding at my best over the next few weeks. let’s see what happens. 😉🤣 and thanks chatgpt for helping me with this caption! #trumpetlife #musicianlife #mobilitywork #backpainrecovery #breathingexercises #warburtonpete #postopsurgery #healingjourney #practiceeveryday #tuscanview #sunrisemagic #musictherapy #musiciansofinstagram #slowandsteady #trumpetpractice #instagram #andeverything
